Mir Moiz’s Weblog

Life is meaningful, only when one wishes to make it. We are creatures of time and we’ll wither away in it. The little moments of joy we find and create are all that will live with us.

Mind Machine Meld

The time when computers will be interfaced with our brains is very close at hand.
This would mean that all the physical limitations of movement speed limitations, gravity, vector forces on objects that prevent a lot of things due to the human frailty can be done away with.

For the military, imagine an airplane that can fly and react dynamically at unbelievable speeds because its being controlled by a mind and not hands, or a computer interface where research is being conducted at thought speeds by a person using such an interface to browse the web.

The implications are huge – for good and as always for evil.

New Email Thinking

Technically the email we use today, is very much like a post-card and one without an envelope!!!
It not only shows the meta-data for the content being transited, but also the content it self.

As we are entering the next phase of development for the Internet. I feel it is imperative that we all must adapt to the change.

PGP was an encryption technology available since the beginning of Internet, but using it was tedious to say the least and so could only be rolled out in a controlled environment.

ProtonMail is a Swiss company where engineers and scientists working at CERN in Switzerland conceived how to integrate PGP based functions in a convenient usability system like we are all accustomed to by now with Gmail.
They have come up with this product that I beta tested to see how it goes.

Using ProtonMail, you can send an email that will be viewable for a given time only like Snapchat, also when a proton to proton user uses it, they get total privacy as well.

I sincerely love the product and plan to switch over to it over a period of 1 to 2 years. It really is worth it, and best if you pay 🙂

Climate Change

Petroleum is rich in carbon, 200 years before the carbon was below the earth.
Today most of that is out in the environment, because we dug it out.
Its simple logic that that carbon is now the culprit – yet the play of words and deception continues.
Very eye opening report by DW.

The Nature of this Century

A very WISE discussion.
Putting aside all differences to work with the common truths is the only way.
