Life is meaningful, only when one wishes to make it. We are creatures of time and we’ll wither away in it. The little moments of joy we find and create are all that will live with us.

Edhi’s Recognition by White House

White House yesterday puts out a statement acknowledging Edhi’s accomplishments.

Abdul Sattar Edhi was one of the world’s great humanitarians. From the medical clinic he established in Karachi, Pakistan almost 60 years ago, he and his wife Bilquis created a vast network of social services for Pakistan’s most vulnerable, encompassing nursing homes, orphanages, soup kitchens, maternity wards, women’s shelters, rehabilitation centers, and the largest voluntary ambulance fleet in the world. Even as his foundation’s operations expanded beyond Pakistan’s borders, Edhi still often drove his own ambulance, personally caring for the injured.

Edhi led a life dedicated to serving others, and his determination to provide equal treatment for all–regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, or class–stands as a sharp rebuke to those who would use fear and violence to create divisions. We offer our condolences to Bilquis and their four children, the millions of people around the world whose lives he touched, and to the people of Pakistan, who have lost a heroic servant of humanity. ‎

In my view he was off the same league as Mother Teresa – a very very Nobel circle!

Refugees: Crisis or Opportunity

An unprecedented influx of refugees have literally invaded Europe recently.
Coming mostly from the tense spots of the middle east region, these refugees are in younger age brackets with a lot of children and young couples.

My main inquisition is why is it that Europe is welcoming so many in such awkward ways.

Just recently a tiny village of 150 people in Netherlands called Oranje got a major shock when the government decided to place a refugee camp of 700+ people there.

It sounds exceptionally comical that the government would overlook such a major factor of native population and numbers.

This is going on all over Europe mostly in the developed and central regions.

I ask myself why is Europe accommodating so many refugees?
I feel it is all to do with the best answer to Europe’s biggest problem – Age!

Most of Europe is facing a natural degradation of its young population due to less families producing lesser children and most of its people expected to reach old age soon.
Without enough young, Europe faces a major shortage of labor for the next century.
Inviting all these migrants is Europe’s answer to that problem.

It may even make it more competitive as an economic region in this emerging multipolar world where China is giving US and Europe a very hard time.

Supply of cheap and capable labor is the next big economic agenda.
In a unipolar/ bipolar world where US had an undisputed lead, that was not much to be concerned about but now in this multipolar world with US, Europe & China as the market leading economies. This fact is paramount.

Europe is not going under the weight of competition but rather preparing to deploy the tried and tested formula used by US to catapult its economic might.
They have the technology lead, the financial lead and now with a managed supply of labor they will be competitive to use a mix of labor and automation to have a newly empowered economic lead in the new market region called Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The next 50 years will define the shape of a new world in trade and commerce. New methods and new ways of execution.

I feel it’s an opportune time to benefit from this transformational regional transition.

The Key Risk “Inherent” in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has come a long way in how technology is now defining the central pillar of life on earth… Money.

While its technology is strong and the peer-to-peer model is stronger still.

“In my view” there is an inherent risk embedded within Bitcoin itself. This is the risk that the notion of mining of coins is dependent on a computational work which apparently CPU/GPUs perform and due to the complexity of math involved, is difficult, thus the creation of coins is controlled.

I feel this is an inaccurate and incomplete understanding. Here is why!

In the next 5 to 10 years super computing will transform in an unprecedented way.
Quantum Computing will make this challenge of mining coins a thing of the past, and the entity that mines the highest quantity of coins will dominate.
In my view, the technology of Quantum Computing will not be made public. It will be in the hands of very few still.

This is the exact statement of the inventor:
… “The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to
attack the network, they’ll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers.”

Quantum Computing can work at a pace unprecedented in human history. It can work on a single task at multiple even infinite levels all at the same time to exponentially grow within a few seconds and evaluate the most complex problem.

Quantum Computing for the geeks: Wikipedia Article

Already matured and existing Quantum Computer: DWave

The control of Bitcoin will be in the hands of the authority that controls the highest computing power in the coming days and that means Quantum Computer owners will have that power.

NOTE: I am extrapolating the facts as I see them architecturally. I am not an expert in the technology.

The Right Innovation for the Medics – Eric Schmidt at HIMSS

Sometimes I just hate it when all that I’d been thinking is something someone else had been thinking too!! But then – Good is good, I do it you do it, it just does not matter.

Here is something I thought about onces that Google just worked up and much, much better.
Google unveils a great new health care feature that will create some major ripples in the field of medicine.
